2T light Karo syrup 2c white sugar
1/2 c butter dash salt
1c buttermilk 1t baking soda
1 t vanilla 1/2 c nuts
Cook sugar, karo, butter, buttermilk and soda in sauce pan.
Stir often until forms hardball when dropped into cold water.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and nuts. Beat vigorously until it begins to hold shape.
Pour into buttered dish. Let set. Cut into squares.
